Freedland received a BA in theatre and writing from Bard College in 1992 and she studied poetry with Bob Holman and Eileen Myles and photography at the School of Visual Arts. She has collaborated on performances with Shannon Ebner, Matthew Bakkom, Craig Smith, Alexis Hubshman and Aaron Diskin. Awards include Socrates Sculpture Park Emerging Artist Grant, a special projects grant through the Carnegie Art Center in Buffalo, and a -Scope art fair performance award.
