Prior to completing a BFA at Hunter College, Andresen traveled Europe studying art for a year while having two solo exhibitions in Southern France and Portugal. Upon returning to New York, he completed undergraduate studies at Hunter and has since continued his education of varying folk arts through a variety of sources, including continuing lessons with quilt makers, a month in India studying textile production, and a forthcoming trip to Poland to study the rural folk art of paper cutting called wycinanki. Exhibitions have included the Rush Arts Gallery, White Box, and the current AIM 26 show at the Bronx Museum of Art, all in New York City.
