Graffiti Research Lab (GRL) is not a collective of graffiti artists, but a collection of graffiti engineers and advocates. Try your hand at laser tagging with GRL’s Mobile Broadcast Unit: audio, projection, and laser tag systems mounted on a tricycle! An entire building is your canvas for making giant drawings with light during this outdoor evening adventure.
Graffiti Research Lab commissioned as part of Lower Manhattan Cultural Council's Off The Record. Off the Record intended to encourages diverse, imaginative and experimental art and performance projects in Downtown New York, provoking a critical relationship to everyday life, drawing audiences to little known locations, and bringing sharply into focus, if only for a moment, a fragment of urban experience that is easily overlooked.

Commissioned by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Produced in association with the Drawing Center. Presented as part of “The Big Draw,” in association with the Arts on the Horizon series, presented by the River To River Festival and Lower Manhattan Development Corporation.
