Every Saturday this August, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council presents free New World Music concerts, featuring a diverse roster of international artists on historic Governors Island. Hop on the free ferry with a picnic and enjoy the sun.

Admission to all events is FREE.

It's A Hop, Skip & A Jump!

HOP on the train or bus
to Bowling Green, 1 train to South Ferry, to Whitehall, or buses, M6, M9, or M15 to South Ferry

SKIP over to the Battery Maritime Building
Slip 7, between Broad & Whitehall St., north of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal
A free 7-minute ferry to Governors Island leaves on the hour starting at 10am.
Access to the Governors Island Ferry will be on a first-come, first-served basis

JUMP off the ferry at Governors Island
Head to Colonels Row for In the Pocket and enjoy your day on the island. Bring a picnic!

Ferries will return from Governors Island every hour on the ½ hour with the last public ferry returning to Manhattan at 5:00 pm. Access to Governors Island is also available via NY Water Taxi. For schedule, fares and information log on to www.nywatertaxi.com.
